How to start coding for placements

The speaker will be talking about how a student from any educational background can start learning to code and stand the chance to crack the interviews of top companies like amazon, microsoft, apple, etc. She will be speaking about the challenges every beginner faces and how to overcome them in the best possible way. She will provide the students with helpful tricks which took her a lot of time to grasp. She will be sharing resources and and common platforms where students can start their learning journey. In the end, a small QnA will take place where the speaker will answer the doubts of the students to the best of her capability.

Shloka Shah is an experienced professional in the field of marketing and communications, with a particular focus on the technology industry. She currently works at hackerrank as a SDE-2 and has experience in the field of software development, machine learning and many more technologies like Python, Django, DBMS and SQL. She was the winner of the IIC Hack hackathon organised at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT). She has worked on various technologies like Python, Django Rest, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Blockchain, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), etc.

Journey in Microsoft and how to get there

The speaker will be talking about the basic fundamentals required to become a software development engineer in Microsoft. She will be talking about how to apply on their portal, the difficulties faced during the aptitude and technical rounds and how to be prepared for them. She will also speak about how to crack interviews and bust common myths about the same. Finally, a small QnA session will take place where the students can interact directly with the speaker and ask her their doubts.
